Just FYI, I also spent half an hour before I was due to go on, dry retching with my head out of the window I was that nervous. But after talking to a bunch of different comedians, they all said that if I had even the slightest suspicion I might be funny then to give it a go. And all I can say is I'm glad I did. If only so I can hold up that moment in the future as a time when I proved I've got nerve. Likewise, if you think you might be even the slightest bit funny, give it a shot! The Classic comedy club have Raw nights with an open mic every monday in Auckland central. Get a huge pack of mates in and try it. At least you can be that person who actually did it instead of saying they're always going to do cool shit.
